Since 1981 Boardmasters has been an integral part of the British surf scene. From humble beginnings as a small surf competition, we are now proud to present one of the biggest events on the professional British surfing calendar; not to mention the music festival. Join us in the lazy summer sun and celebrate the surfing lifestyle!
Ditch your shoes and wander onto the sand to watch some of the most stylish pro surfers and local Groms competing for the Boardmasters crown. We've got 6 categories of surf comps...
Men’s Open - international pros get into the thick of the action, ripping massive lines, taming unforgiving lips and throwing crowd pleasing airs left and right. With the right conditions, the Men's Open competition rivals the best in the world.
SunGod Women’s Open - the ladies of the waves battle it out, charging Fistral's finest with their own instalment of power surfing. As with the Men's Open, the Women's competition can be World beating.
Davidoff Cool Water Men’s Longboard Pro - buttery smooth style and laid-back nose-riding from the finest longboarders around the world; always a favourite at Boardmasters.
Animal Pro Junior (Under 20’s) - the teens stake an early claim to Boardmasters history. Keep an eye out; the Pro Junior is a goldmine of "ones to watch".
